Transport Me Scottie

So when we can't always afford to do thing or have the time while we work, there is always the transportation of the mind.
I am very blessed to have an imagination. It doesn't take too much to get lost in books or even movies, which can be a bad thing. Yet if you have a library (because I prefer real books to media written books) I can read and travel and learn.
Though my dream job would be traveling and writing books sort of like Jessica Fletcher In Murder She Wrote, life doesn't always turn out that way. Don't get me wrong I am going to travel a lot more when the doors open up, but when we can't we settle to learn to travel through pages.
I never really see myself as I look or what I do. I have two characters I am writing and both are what I see as me in two different skins.
One is a hard secret agent who has speed like Bruce Lee and is cool as Ziva David. Spanish decent and a hard egg to crack. She travels for her job all over the world and faces many dangerous people and see many things. Cuts mar her wrists.

The second character is a red streaked hair, sort of goth, Hostage Negotiator, who has done many things but really wants to see justice done. Also tat on her right foot with words she walks life by.

Both have a sad past and don't let anyone easily, which is true of me. Also has a lot of guy friends but doesn't let anyone close to her heart without a fight.
These are not too far off from me, I just hide things I like or want to do.
How do you see yourself and what is one thing that you could see differently about yourself if you could?

And Here We Are

Hi everyone of you life travelers!
Today don't complain for the adventure your own even when everyone else seems to be on a more important or more exciting than yours. I have that attitude at times and it really just makes me blind to the things around me. I could easily want to be anyone else but there is a purpose and a greater plan to what I can't see.
A Barista, actress, concrete worker, farmer, or anything else we all have a purpose and place to where we are.
The adventure to challenge you with is to see there is a bigger angle to where you are.
It isn't about money or success.
How far are you willing to go?

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. ~ Helen Keller

Sitting or Walking

Life, don't you think it is crazy that there could be something so interesting as life itself. A journey that takes you through twists and turns and so unexpected. I have never really understood why people like living in one place for so long and setting roots in place. Other people travel to anywhere for an experience.
Though I am a traveler and I enjoy going and seeing new things, there is something to say about just where you are. Wanting new experiences are a real adventure if we allow ourselves to have them. I beat in your own town you have those right where you are. Now the real challenge is what will you do with where you are? Meeting or helping someone, that is an adventure. Driving to a side of town you haven't seen before or going down a road you never knew was there, that is another adventure. A new book can be a good adventure too. TV doesn't really count but it could it you like experiencing what someone else created.
Adventure isn't just in your mind of what you create, like we writers can do. You only have to go as far as your willing to go.

One way to get the most out of life is to look upon it as an adventure. ~ William Feather
